Our 100% Client-Side Privacy Promise
Effective Date: October 2026
Summary: The converter runs entirely in your web browser. Your images, animated GIFs, pasted byte arrays, and generated Arduino sketches never leave your computer.
1. Zero Server Processing of Images or Code
When you drag and drop an image or GIF onto OLED Bitmap Converter, or paste existing C arrays from other tools:
- File reading uses the standard HTML5 FileReader API in local browser memory.
- Scaling, color thresholding, dithering algorithms, and vector analysis execute solely in JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas.
- Sketch synthesis and
.inofile creation occur entirely in-memory on your device. - No graphic asset, frame data, filename, or C byte array is ever transmitted to any remote server or stored in any database.
2. No User Accounts or Personal Information
There is no sign-up form, registration requirement, or account login. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, physical address, payment information, or passwords.
3. Measurement and Analytics Principles
To understand which microcontrollers and display resolutions to prioritize in future updates, we may measure anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as how many times a conversion was completed, or which display driver was selected).
Under our strict privacy design rules:
- We never log image filenames, file dimensions, image pixel values, or code contents.
- No session recording software (e.g. Hotjar, FullStory) or screen capture telemetry is ever loaded on the converter canvas or code editor.
- All event logging is strictly limited to generic UI actions (e.g. "Conversion Triggered - Display: SSD1306 128x64").
4. Third-Party CDN Delivery
To deliver fast global load times, web fonts and icon assets are loaded from standard content delivery networks (Google Fonts, Cloudflare CDN). These networks receive standard HTTP request headers (such as IP address and browser user-agent) necessary to transmit font files, governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Questions or Security Inquiries
If you have questions regarding our browser-side architecture or wish to review the source behavior, please contact us via our Contact page.
